چکیده

Additive Manufacturing (AM) has many advantages, but the lack of access to knowledge associated with it minimises its development in industry. The design phase is crucial for success AM, a challenge Design (DfAM) methods therefore facilitate and manipulation this knowledge. This transfer can be achieved by formalising rules at all scales, communicating them designer appropriate phase. It hence necessary find way formalise information time, space space-time dimensions since AM process that places material layer layer. concept mereotopology used study relationships connection interaction between parts, wholes boundaries, may suitable resource DfAM along these three dimensions. aim paper will present method searching formulating guidelines based on discretisation enabled mereotopology. consists decomposition 3D model into features which spatial, temporal spatio-temporal interactions are studied. Simultaneously, analysis manufactured defects printed version allows link manufacturing configuration spatial elements. Once configurations have been linked, formulated then validated or invalidated according their recurrence different models same material. could integrated industry take advantage order add data statistical study.

AN ADDITIVE MODEL FOR SPATIO-TEMPORAL SMOOTHING OF CANCER MORTALITY RATES

In this paper, a Bayesian hierarchical model is used to anaylze the female breast cancer mortality rates for the State of Missouri from 1969 through 2001. The logit transformations of the mortality rates are assumed to be linear over the time with additive spatial and age effects as intercepts and slopes. Objective priors of the hierarchical model are explored. The Bayesian estimates are quite ...

A New Wavelet Based Spatio-temporal Method for Magnification of Subtle Motions in Video

Video magnification is a computational procedure to reveal subtle variations during video frames that are invisible to the naked eye. A new spatio-temporal method which makes use of connectivity based mapping of the wavelet sub-bands is introduced here for exaggerating of small motions during video frames. In this method, firstly the wavelet transformed frames are mapped to connectivity space a...

Design for Additive Manufacturing: a Method to Explore Unexplored Regions of the Design Space

Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies enable the fabrication of parts and devices that are geometrically complex, have graded material compositions, and can be customized. To take advantage of these capabilities, it is important to assist designers in exploring unexplored regions of design spaces. We present a Design for Additive Manufacturing (DFAM) method that encompasses conceptual design...

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
